Impact Database
. . . puts you in control and keeps you there
The Impact Database is at the very heart of the Impact's true power and flexibility. Not only does it allow users to store working projects, it also allows them to manage user access, search for designs, create a “green” paper trail, track revisions, and generate reports that make vital information accessible to anyone who needs it, in an instant.
There's only one choice for database driven packaging design
|
Impact has supported all industry standard databases since its launch. As the only supplier of truly integrated database driven packaging design solutions, Arden Software's acceptance into the Oracle PartnerNetwork further underlines its commitment to providing Impact users with best of breed enterprise level solutions.
Access to saved projects is via the Impact Browser, which has been designed to be clear, intuitive and easy to use. And because users know what works best for their businesses, they have complete freedom to customise the Impact Database to fit in with any existing workflow conventions (e.g. job numbers, tracking numbers, customer details, design styles etc.).

Advanced Search Capabilities
Tracking and locating saved projects is fast and accurate using the Impact Database's advanced search feature. Users can apply default search criteria (i.e. project number, date created etc.), or create custom search criteria (i.e. all projects produced by a specific designer during a specified period of time). Due to the unique nature of the Impact Database, custom queries can be saved and used time and again.
Once a job is located, the Impact Browser will display all the project information, including project name and number, customer name, revision history, and project notes etc. Users can even view 2D and 3D drawing layers without even having to open a project!
Centralised Document Management
The Impact Database allows users to collect and manage project-related files sent to them by their customers and will help to keep desks clear of paper and documents that can easily be misplaced or lost. Project-related files can be stored in the form of emails, pdf artwork, Microsoft Word or Excel documents etc.
