Impact Licence Server

The Impact Licence Server allows any number of Impact licences to be shared across an entire network, which means that occasional users are able to make use of the system from any workstation on which Impact is installed, as long as a copy is available.  Each Impact licence can only be used by one user at a time, but is automatically free to float to another seat when not in use. 

By allowing multiple users to share access to Impact, companies have the flexibility to manage their workload and reduce software costs at the same time.  The Impact Licence Server is also of great value where security is an issue, as it involves only one authorisation key (aka dongle), which can be safely locked away in a server room.  As a precaution, Licence Server users are also supplied with a back-up key, which acts as a failsafe in the event that the original is defective, lost, damaged, or stolen. 

Only one Impact Licence Server is required per site, irrespective of size and complexity of the configuration.  There are no restrictions on the number and configuration of licences on an Impact Licence Server, and as long you have access to the network, any personnel can make use of this facility, including those in the fieldl via a notebook.
