Impact Design Components
. . . recycling at its very best
|
When used in conjuction with Impact's standard drawing tools, Impact Design Components allow Impact users to create drawings from scratch faster than with any other packaging design application. Put simply, Design Components are elements of reusable geometry that users can drag & drop onto an Impact drawing layer to help them develop their ideas and concepts.
Why waste valuable time drawing a basic sleeve, tuck, flap, or base when they may already exist in the library of Design Components delivered with every licence of Impact? Even when you can't find what you need, you can go online and browse through the library at www.impactcad.net to see if we've added any new components to the online library.

Impact Design Components are parametrically driven, and therefore fully resizeable. They feature built-in intelligence that means that often a user doesn't even have to change any values. All he does is select the component he needs, drag & drop it onto the drawing, and click on the geometry he wants the component to locate to. The component will automatically resize and apply any material variables.
Impact Design Components are particularly useful if you've developed a feature of your own, such as a unique lock, slot, or tab. If you know how to create a parametric model, you will be able to create your own custom Impact Design Components and add them to the library.
