Impact 3D Shape Creator

Impact's 3D Shape Creator feature gives you the ability to produce custom 3D shapes and include them as realistic 3D products as an aid to structural design, or as part of a 3D model or 3D animated movie.  You can create 3D shapes to represent virtually any product you need, from a glass to a bottle to a drinks can to a yoghurt pot to a bag of chips to a bar of chocolate, and much faster than you might think!

It's as straightforward as drawing a cross section of the product in a 2D layer using Impact's standard drawing tools, introducing additional cross sections as necessary in order to modify the primary cross section and define the shape, adding artwork (such as a label) with the Impact Graphics feature if required, and clicking on the 3D Shape Creator feature.  Converting cross section geometry takes seconds and your 3D shape is immediately available to be positioned, resized and duplicated using any of Impact's standard 3D tools.

Existing 3D models can also be imported into Impact's 3D environment and manipulated in exactly the same way as a 3D product created with 3D Shape Creator.  3D Shape Creator supports 3D Studio and IGES file formats.
