End of life for CimPACK software

End of life for CimPACK software

Arden Software has officially retired our CimPACK software, with support and maintenance ended on 1 August 2025.

The end of life (EOL) for CimPACK marks a strategic step as part of our continued investment in next-generation CAD software and solutions, ensuring our customers benefit from modern, actively supported tools designed to meet the evolving needs of the packaging and die-making industry.

What this means for CimPack users

If you are still using CimPACK, it’s now critical to begin your migration to Impact CAD to avoid disruptions. CimPACK is built on legacy code and may become unstable or cease functioning due to future Windows updates or hardware changes. As there will be no further patches, updates or support available, continued use of CimPACK carries significant operational risk.

Transition options include:

  • If you have an active Software Maintenance Contract (SMC)
You are eligible to transition to an equivalent version of Impact CAD at no additional licence cost. This includes a requirement to maintain your SMC for a further three years.
  • If your SMC is not active
You may still qualify for discounted upgrade pricing, depending on your original CimPACK purchase date and licence history. Please contact us to review your eligibility.
  • Training and setup
Migration to Impact CAD includes essential setup, configuration, and user training services, which are not included in the licence cost and will be quoted separately. These services are essential to ensure your team is properly equipped to take full advantage of the advanced features within Impact.
